You can find out which SSDs otherwise fit in here. Caution! Some are delivered without a heat sink.

Which SSDs fit in the PS5? Classic SSDs in 2.5-inch format are definitely not – they are not fast enough anyway. For the console it has to be M.2 plug-in card SSDs with super-fast PCI Express connection of the 4.0 x4 standard. Another hurdle: only NVMe SSDs work. So that you don’t have to search long, COMPUTER BILD presents some compatible models. By the way: In the tutorial you will learn how the SSD is installed.
PS5 SSDs: how fast does the storage need to be?
So far, Sony has said that an SSD must deliver at least a speed of 5.5 gigabytes per second in order to be compatible with the console. However, this is not correct, because much slower models also work. However, you should not dare to experiment with the following parameters:- M.2 format
- NVMe technology
- PCIe 4.0 connector
- Heat sink
- Between 500 gigabytes and a maximum of 8 terabytes
SSD: with or without heat sink?
Sony comes with another requirement: Apart from the technical features mentioned above, a heat sink must also be installed on the SSD, according to the manufacturer. In other words: a heat sink. We discussed whether this is true in the article on PS5 SSD heatsink. Since very few SSDs are sold with a heat sink, it is not wrong to order a suitable one on the Internet (cost: around 10 euros). In most cases it is probably not really necessary.
