UUnder the Erazer brand, Medion produces stylish gaming PCs at affordable prices. The latest descendant Erazer Engineer P10 (MD 34485) will be available from Aldi from July 29th for 1,299 euros. Even the attractively illuminated housing suggests: The PC is made for the gambling guild. The chic Erazer blue is used deliberately so that it doesn’t look like an embarrassing village disco at any point. Are the inner values also convincing?

Test conclusion: you have to know that
The graphics card alone currently costs around 750 euros. In addition, there is the not cheap processor (310 euros), power supply unit, case, mainboard, RAM, SSD and a few additions such as Windows 10 Home. So the price of 1,299 euros is really hot. Especially when you take into account that the computer does not have to be laboriously assembled? and still looks chic. If you want to shoot a gaming PC with enough power for WQHD and some reserves, the Medion is the right choice.

WellFull Intel power
An Intel chip provides a lot of power: the Core i7-11700F from the Rocket Lake S series has eight cores, which, thanks to hyperthreading, make the operating system think of 16 units. In normal operation, the CPU works at a rate of 2.5 gigahertz, while the turbo fires the rocket: 4.9 GHz is the maximum. The processor has 16 gigabytes of RAM available, which work with a fast 3,200 megahertz clock. Office tasks and video editing are a breeze. But for gamers, the graphics card plays the biggest role.
WQHD is not a problem
The Erazer is equipped with a Zotac RTX 3060 Ti. We don’t have to talk about Full HD (1920×1080 pixels), there are no limits to the computer. The graphics card has enough reserves to display most games in WQHD (2560×1440 pixels) with a high level of detail. But that’s not all: Quite a few games can even be displayed in 4K resolution (3840×2160 pixels) with up to 125 frames per second; gamers only have to turn down the effects for brand new titles. There are enough special cores available for the calculation of ray tracing effects in current games such as “Doom Eternal”. Ray tracing? This includes the dynamic display of soft shadows and light effects. The GPU has 38 separate processing units so that the performance does not collapse. Cheaper GPUs have to get by with fewer cores and therefore trace light and shadow in less detail.
Quiet PC, loud PC
With so much power, a lot of heat is generated that has to be blown away by the fans. The Erazer is clearly audible with 5 sones under full load. At least the computer remains quite quiet in normal operation. On the connection side, everything is included: seven different USB sockets, headset connection, HDMI and DisplayPort. A LAN socket is available, but if you want, you can also connect via WiFi (ac).Engineer P10 (MD 34485): The conclusion

The mining potential has no influence on the final test grade, but the testers checked anyway. On a Windows computer, the RTX 3060 Ti manages to mine the cryptocurrency Ethereum around 61 megahashes per second ?? almost as much as an RTX 3070. The graphics card alone consumes 140 watts. So if you want to mine something during the gaming breaks, you get around 2 euros per day.
