Tristana is a marksman that can quite literally explode the opponents. She uses a cannon for a weapon, places explosives, and can jump into (or out of) a fight with her Skill 2. She might seem easy to play, and to tell you the truth, she is. However, if you really want to take advantage of her entire kit, you will need to keep in mind all the aspects that make Tristana well… Tristana.
She’s got amazing carry potential when she is ahead since she is one of few marksmen that can obliterate the enemy team with just a couple of attacks and well-placed skills, all while being on the move. The one downside about her, though, is that even if she’s very mobile, she’s still a squishy marksman that can die very easily if the enemies burst her down.
Nonetheless, no matter if you’re new to the game or a veteran player, rest assured – Tristana is a great pick for the Marksman role, and she is extremely fun to play!

League of Legends: Wild Rift Tristana skills
Draw a Bead (Passive)
Increases Tristana’s Attack Range as she levels.
Rapid Fire (Skill 1)
Tristana fires her weapon rapidly, increasing her Attack Speed for a short time.
Rocket Jump (Skill 2)
Tristana fires at the ground to propel her to a distant location, dealing damage and slowing surrounding units for a brief period where she lands.
Explosive Charge (Skill 3)
When Tristana kills a unit, her cannonballs burst into shrapnel, dealing damage to surrounding enemies. Can be activated to place a bomb on a target enemy that explodes after a short duration dealing damage to surrounding units.
Buster Shot (Skill 4 / Ultimate)
Tristana loads a massive cannonball into her weapon and fires it at an enemy unit. This deals Magic Damage and knocks the target back. If the target is carrying the Explosive Charge bomb, the bomb detonation radius is doubled.
How to combo as Tristana:
Tristana has a couple of combos that will help you detonate her Skill 3 much easier, and when you pull them off, chances are you’ll surprise even yourself with the sheer amounts of damage that she does. These are her general combos:
– (activate Skill 1) -> Skill 2 -> Skill 3 (while you are mid-air) -> auto-attack -> Skill 4 (ultimate) -> quickly use another auto-attack -> Skill 2 (again, if you can)
This is one of the strongest all-in combos that Tristana has, which you can pull off at level 5.
– Skill 3 -> auto-attack -> Skill 2 -> auto-attack -> auto-attack (and keep auto-attacking)
This is the combo you can pull off at level 2, which is basically the first time she can all-in the enemy laner. It’s a very powerful combo since her Skill 3 will detonate dealing a lot of damage. That early on into the game she can probably one-shot anyone (any marksman/support).
Other tips on playing Tristana:
– If your opponents are under the tower, you can use Skill 3 on the tower and then Skill 1 for faster attacks, and once the bomb detonates, it will do splash damage which could hit the opponents.
– You can surprise the enemy laners by pathing back to lane through the jungle. Use your Skill 2 to position yourself behind them, and then use your Skill 4(ultimate) to push them underneath your own tower. This is a fun thing that not many people expect, and the best part – the tower will do a lot of damage to them!
– Tristana can use her Skill 2 to cancel crowd control skills, such as Blitzcrank’s Skill 1. (just time it right – basically the second you’re about to be pulled)
– Remember that any kill resets her Skill 2.
In what order to level up the skills?
On Tristana you want to max out your Skill 3 first, then Skill 1, and finally Skill 2.
Level 1: Skill 3
Level 2: Skill 2
Level 3: Skill 1
Level 4: Skill 3
Level 5: Skill 4
Level 6: Skill 3
Level 7: Skill 3
Keep leveling Skill 3 until it’s maxed, then focus on Skill 1, and lastly on Skill 2. Of course, whenever you can, you want to add 1 point into your Skill 4 (ultimate).
The best summoner spells
Heal: Restores 80-360 Health and grants 30% bonus Movement Speed for 1 second to you and the most wounded nearby ally champion. Healing is halved for champions recently affected by Heal.
Flash: Teleport a short distance forward or towards the aimed direction.

Wild Rift Tristana – The best items
If you feel like you need a little bit more survivability, you could get Guardian Angel instead of Bloodthirster.
Boots
Gluttonous Quicksilver is your go-to boots since they will help you dispel any crowd control.
Gluttonous Stasis is your optional choice, in case the opponents have champions that can one-shot you.
