Free Fire, the mobile game we know is much different from the Free Fire back in 2017. The battle royale game has exponentially changed its inner design and playstyle so much throughout the years and yet it keeps on adding new improvements. One of the most talked features in the game is the awakening of the characters. The character awakening feature was added in March 2020 when Kelly the Swift was first introduced in the game. Awakening characters give them a new ability that can be harnessed after completing the specified awakening missions for all eligible characters for awakening. In this article, you will know how to complete the Free Fire awakening missions in a quick time.
Which characters are eligible for Free Fire awakening missions
As of now, only two characters in the game are eligible for the Free Fire awakening missions – Kelly and Hayato. There will be an Awaken dropdown menu under Level up which upon tapping the Awakening Missions will be displayed. This is how you can awaken your characters in the game. Up next, we will be describing how you can complete the Free Fire awakening missions for these two characters.
Kelly The Swift
In March 2020, a familiar face with a new look made its way to the character list – Kelly “the Swift” or Elite Kelly. She was the first-ever awakened version of any character introduced to the game and hyped up players for her passive-type skill named deadly velocity which makes her first shot much more lethal than her next.
Free Fire Awakening missions for Kelly
Mission 1: Except in a custom room, run a total of 125 KM
The first mission is obviously the hardest. Running 125 km is pretty tough to do. To match this amount in less than a day, true dedication is needed and maybe a friend to count those laps. Don’t underestimate this mission as running so much as 1 km is far. You will receive partial progress each match accordingly to how many meters you’ve run.
Tips for Mission 1
- Complete this mission faster by playing as Kelly in every match (except Custom Room).
- Don’t drive vehicles as these don’t count as actual steps taken.
- The classic game is recommended and if chosen, jump at the outskirts of the map to have more time to run.
- Sprinting can be done in laps and is safer to do so instead of having a possibility of meeting with enemies.
- Do this mission along with missions 2,3, and 4 to simultaneously progress.
- Time-limited modes will always make a comeback which will make this mission a lot easier if known how to play them. Play only the close domed in modes for quick progress like Bomb Squad, Big Head, Gun King, etc.
- The time-limited modes Rampage and Rampage 2.0 are highly recommended for fast completion as they are known to give a sprint boost in their match conditions.
Mission 2: Except in custom room, Kill 100 enemies
The second hardest mission on the list, but it can be done much quicker than the first. To quickly complete this mission, you can join a bot match with an in-game friend who can alert you if a bot is spotted. Another way is to join close domed modes like Clash Squad, Clash Squad Ranked, etc.
Tips for Mission 2
- Time-limited modes will always help you make a comeback which will make this mission a lot easier if known how to play them. Play only the close domed in modes for quick progress like Bomb Squad, Big Head, Gun King, etc.
- Kill enemies faster by aiming for the head.
- Do this mission along with missions 1, 3, and 4 to simultaneously progress.
Mission 3: Except in Custom Room achieve a Booyah! 10 times
The easiest mission on the list that can be completed the fastest. You can choose to play in close domed matches like Clash Squad, Clash Squad Ranked, etc. Have an experienced player join in the fun so that matches get shortened.
Tips for Mission 3
- Time-limited modes will always help you make a comeback which will make this mission a lot easier if known how to play them. Play only the close domed in modes for quick progress like Bomb Squad, Big Head, Gun king, etc.
- Do this mission along with missions 1,2, and 4 to simultaneously progress.
Mission 4: Form a team with friends to complete 15 matches
This is the 2nd easiest mission that can be completed to awaken Kelly.
Tips for Mission 4
- As this is done quite easily in the classic game as well as in the ranked game, this mission is most likely the first to be completed on your list, if you combine it with missions 1,2, and 3.
- This mission is completed the fastest with friends that have high skills. Matches are only completed if the player doesn’t leave early.
Rewards for Kelly’s Awakening mission
Aside from this, after awakening her, the awakening set for Kelly is rewarded for free which enables her to display her skill on the starting island when a game starts. Players will also get an evolution stone, which is a crucial material for awakening.
Hayato Firebrand
In August 2020, a familiar face with a new look made its way to the character list – Hayato “Firebrand or Elite Hayato. Being the second after Kelly attaining an awakening, his skill most definitely places first as it is an active-type skill named Art of Blades which reduces all frontal damage for 20% at level 1.
Free Fire Awakening missions for Hayato
Mission 1: Except in custom room achieve 16000 damage in total to enemy players
The easiest mission on the list as 16000 damage can be done in close domed modes like Clash Squad and Squad Ranked.
Tips for Mission 1
- Time-limited modes will always help you make a comeback which will make this mission a lot easier. Play only the close domed in modes for quick progress like Bomb Squad, Big Head, Gun King, etc.
- Headshots give more than the usual damages so be sure to aim for the head.
- Do this mission along with missions 2,3, and maybe 4 to simultaneously progress.
Mission 2: Except in custom room 3 players must be slain with a Katana
The hardest mission in the entire list as killing players with a katana requires strong knowledge of close-ranged melee combat. It can actually be made quite easy if you play the Bot matches. Joining bot matches is simple and gives you more as bots do little damage to you.
Tips for Mission 2
- Take an in-game friend with you who can help you quickly spot these bots as they sometimes seem to appear out of nowhere.
- Use a bounty token to ensure you have a better chance of finding the katana.
- Kill some bots if the Katana hunt is unsuccessful as one might have one with them.
- Do this mission along with missions 1,3, and maybe 4 to simultaneously progress.
Mission 3: Except in custom room defeat players when your HP is 99 or lower
This mission is the 2nd hardest, but again can be made easy. The first solution is to again, join bot matches and wait for one to lower you or just jump off a high level that gets you to lower than 100. The second is to play close domed matches like Clash Squad, Clash Squad Ranked, etc.
Tips for Mission 3
- Time-limited modes will always help you to make a comeback which will make this mission a lot easier if known how to play them. Play only(could also with a friend) the close domed in modes for quick progress like Bomb Squad, Big Head, Gun King, etc.
- Be sure to bring an in-game friend so, in an event where you die by accident, he can revive you.
- Watch out as bot matches can contain other (but way less) experienced players
- Have some medi kits as you don’t want to be lower than 15 HP, or you are a 1 shot away from being knocked out by any weapon.
- Do this mission along with mission 1,2, and maybe 4 to simultaneously progress.
Mission 4: Except in custom room achieve 10 Booyahs
Another easy mission which can be done with the right strategy and maybe some help from an experienced in-game friend. This mission is completed fastest by playing in any of the close domed modes like Clash Squad, Clash Squad Ranked, etc.
Tips for Mission 4
- Time-limited modes will always help you make a comeback which will make this mission a lot easier if your strategy is set. Play only the close domed in modes for quick progress like Bomb Squad, Big Head, Gun King, etc.
- Play Clash squad with you and a trio of experienced players to make quick work of those enemies.
Rewards for Hayato’s Awakening mission
After a successful awakening, Hayato’s awakening outfit is rewarded. This enables him to display his active skill on the starting island after starting a game. Players will also, just like with Kelly, attain a free awakening shard which is just as crucial as the character fragments needed to level up his ability.
