Price drop: iPhone 12 for 550 euros?
The iPhone 12 could be the cheapest variant of the new iPhone generation. Accordingly, Idealo examined the predecessors from iPhone 8 to iPhone 11. Good news: According to the forecast, the price will drop by 70 euros after just two months. With an assumed starting price of 709 euros for the iPhone 12 (see price analysis in the iPhone 12 rumor article), it could be available for 550 euros after eleven months. It should be noted, however, that the iPhone 12 may be significantly smaller than the iPhone 11, so the real successor to the iPhone 11 is more of an “iPhone 12 Max”, which should start at around 100 euros more (around 799 euros).
iPhone price drop: Even stronger with the Pro
While the price of the iPhone 12 should drop by 10 percent after two months, the decline is even greater for the Pro models, reaching 12 percent each. After half a year, the savings with the Pro versions are even 18 percent.Will the iPhone 11 be a bargain?
For all those who are still brooding about buying an iPhone 11 at the lowest possible price, the Idealo predictions for the price are even more important: For the iPhone 11 generation, Idealo is forecasting a decline in the iPhone 11 generation within five months of the introduction of the successor Sales prices by 29 percent. But the Idealo study shows: Here, too, waiting can be worthwhile, at least if you do not buy directly from Apple, but look around for cheap dealer offers in the price comparison.
