The Panasonic Lumix G110 system camera is tiny, but the small housing contains a full-blown camera, as the test by COMPUTER BILD shows.

If you are looking for an always-with-you camera with high image quality, the Panasonic Lumix G110 is the right choice. The system camera fits easily in your jacket pocket and not only shoots great photos, but also detailed videos in 4K. Hobby filmmakers can look forward to many additional functions, such as the tally function, which clearly shows when the camera is filming, or a microphone socket. The autofocus works very quickly and accurately with single images. In series, it weakens when the subject moves quickly.

Per

  • High image quality for photos and videos
  • Very fast series in 4K
  • Compact and light

Cons

  • Autofocus not always accurate in series
I.In recent times, Panasonic has mainly launched new system cameras from the Lumix S series with full-frame sensors. Although they deliver top image quality, they are also quite large – the lenses in particular can be real chunks. But Panasonic has a second series of system cameras: the Lumix G series cameras are much smaller. The Panasonic Lumix G110 is particularly compact and light. The test says what the mini camera can do. content

The best system cameras (APS-C / MFT)

High image quality

There is a sensor in the Panasonic Lumix G110 MicroFourThirds format (Sensor size 13.0×17.3 millimeters). In the test, it delivered beautifully detailed and crisp images and didn’t have to hide from cameras with larger sensors in daylight. The smaller sensor doesn’t like dim light so much, because the Lumix G110 can’t quite work with cameras with APS-C or full-frame sensors like its sister model Panasonic Lumix S5 keep up. Up to ISO 3200, the Lumix G110 can take great pictures (see photo gallery).

Mini camera, maxi viewfinder

The Panasonic Lumix G110 comes with the kit lens tiny (Dimensions 11.6×8.3×7.0 cm) and very easy (Weight 410 grams). Nevertheless, Panasonic manages to build in a fairly large viewfinder. That falls with a viewfinder enlargement of 0.73 times as big as a full-frame SLR and is hardly smaller than a full-frame system camera. Thanks to its high resolution, the viewfinder shows (1280×960 pixels) a very detailed picture; only the color reproduction is a bit reddish – more expensive cameras like the Nikon Z5 score with a noticeably true color display. A tribute to the low weight and the mini format: The Lumix G110 is not weatherproof. The camera can cope with a bit of drizzle if the photographer wipes off the water droplets immediately after taking the picture. If you want to take photos and film outside in heavy rain, you better take one of the weatherproof sister models such as the Panasonic Lumix G91 or the Panasonic Lumix G9.

Simply trigger via the app

No question about current system cameras: The Panasonic Lumix G110 comes with a built-in WIRELESS INTERNET ACCESS and Bluetooth; There is an app for smartphones and tablets (free for Android and Apple available). Once set up, the app is quite versatile: via Bluetooth, it can set the time, write location data in photos or trigger the camera. A remote control also works, but the camera has to switch to WLAN – but that takes a few seconds.
