Unfortunately, a handful of features showcased at the first event never made it to the global stage, and subsequently never arrived on the MIUI 12 Global Stable builds. Among them was the anticipated MIUI 12 sleep tracker, tracking workouts and other fitness features.
But, there is way through which users can get the blocked MIUI 12 features on any Xiaomi device.
Download: MIUI Health App
All health related features that were showcased at the MIUI 12 China launch can be availed through the Mi Health app. You can download the Mi Health app’s latest version from APKMirror. The app supports all Xiaomi devices running MIUI 11 or MIUI 12.
Once installed, you will find the sleep tracking feature, step count, standing up, and several other features in the app. Within sleep tracking, you can also turn on the “Detect Snoring and Talking” feature, which can further help the device in learning more about your sleep pattern. Xiaomi stores all the recordings and data on the device, however, users have the option to upload it on the cloud.
Since the Mi Health app has not been officially released for MIUI 12 Global users, expect a few issues and unavailability of certain features. I haven’t come across any particular issue with the Mi Health app, however different Xiaomi users may have different experiences.
