Pregnant woman slips while trying to deboard moving train; horrifying visual caught on camera

Indian Railways has warned passengers not to board or deboard a train while it is moving. But passengers don’t pay much attention and put their lives at risk. One such incident has been reported at a railway station near Mumbai where a pregnant woman fell into the gap between the train and the platform when the train was moving on Monday.

The incident took place when the woman tried to deboard a moving train at the Kalyan Railway Station. Luckily, she was saved by the Railway Protection Force (RPF) constable who immediately hastened to save her.

The incident was captured on the CCTV camera and the footage has gone viral on social media.

The woman identified as Vandana (21), who was traveling with her husband Chandresh and their child. Vandana’s family was supposed to board a train to Gorakhpur from Kalyan.

However, they board a different train. As soon as they realized about their mistake, the train had already started moving. As Vandana, who is eight months pregnant, tried to deboard the train.

Unfortunately, she lost her balance. However, RPF constable SR Khandekar hastened to save her.

The CCTV footage of the incident was tweeted by Shivaji Sutar, Chief Public Relation Officer of Central Railway in Mumbai. He appealed to people not to board or deboard a running train.

“Railway Protection Force (RPF) staff SR Khandekar saved the life of a pregnant woman who had slipped while attempting to de-board a moving train at Kalyan railway station today. Railway appeals to passengers not to board or de-board a running train,” Sutar tweeted.

Railways authorities have appreciated Khandekar’s courageous act and other passengers nearby pacified the woman as she was scared after she fell from the running train.
