Statistics For Odisha HSC Examinations 2019

As discussed above this year total 5,87,720 students have appeared for Odisha class 10th examinations. The number of the appeared candidates are however decreasing from the consecutively past two years. In 2018, total 5,90,330 students appeared. While in 2017 this number was approximately 6,00,000 lakhs. As compared to the previous year around 18000 less in the number of appeared students. As per the reports, this decrease in the number of appeared students is due to the increase in enrollment of the students in English medium private schools. This is a matter of concern for Odisha board as per annual status education report (ASER).

Passing Criteria For BSE HSC Examinations

Every board has set its own passing criteria for the students who appeared for the board examinations at the state level. So, same with the Odisha board. As per the marking scheme of the Odisha board, students are required to score a total of 30% marks in each subject. Now, on scoring the marks between 33%-45%, you will receive the third position. While between 45%- 60% you will receive the second position and above 60% you will receive the third position. But if we look at the last year data then this came to know that the Odisha board has followed the grading system. So, instead of the percentage, each and every student has received the grades as per the marks obtained.

Statistics of BSE Class 10th Result 2018

On May 07, 2018 Odisha board has declared the HSC result 2018. The board has conducted the class 10th examinations from February 23 and continue the exams till March 08, 2018. If we look into the statistical data then total 77% was the overall passing percentage of the students of HSC from Odisha board. Around 6 lakh students have appeared for the examinations. In 2018, due to some reasons, the board has delayed the result. But, for the next session, we are expecting that the result will declare a bit earlier.

Odisha HSC Supplementary Result 2019

Likewise, other boards Odisha board also conducts the supplementary examinations. This is another chance provided to the students. So, soon after the declaration of the result of main examinations, Odisha board conducts the supplementary exams for those who have failed to attain the minimum required marks. Odisha board conducts the HSC supplementary exams in the month of June followed by the declaration of the result in the month of July. In 2018, the board has come up with the result of the supplementary examinations on July 23, 2018.
