Maharashtra HSC Result 2020 not releasing on June 10.

Earlier, it was expected that Maharashtra board will declare class 10th results on June 10, however, it has been delayed due to nation wide lockdown following COVID-19 pandemic. Presently, Maharashtra is the worst affected state in India due to coronavirus infection. The examiners were allowed to carry answer sheets home to ensure assessment could continue. Furthermore, in the month of May, the High Court has directed the Board to release state board exam results by June 10, 2020. As the country has now relaxing various lockdown rules, the board is now working to declare the results by first half of July.

How Marks will be Given for Geography paper.

The state board has clarified that the students will be given average marks of all other papers for their cancelled geography paper. Marks of five other SSC papers will be taken into consideration to draw an average score for the cancelled paper. The board will apply a similar rule in case of a vocational subject exam for differently abled students.

Maharashtra Govt allowed examiners to travel to the evaluation centers.

Permission is given to the Maharashtra board examiners and other school staff members for evaluation of class 10th answer copies. An urgent letter issued by Additional Chief Secretary (Education) Vandana Krushna states that the paper correction work has been put on hold due to the nationwide lockdown. Further, the inability of examiners to travel to access answer sheets can lead to delay in the process, which will further delay affecting the declaration of results, and also the beginning of the new academic year.
