New Delhi. After Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended the nationwide lockdown till May 3, the BCCI has not yet made any official announcement but has informed the IPL teams to postpone the tournament indefinitely. Sources said that BCCI has informed all the eight franchises in this regard. It has not been officially notified yet because if there is a possibility, a middle ground can be worked out in the next 48 hours.
League being postponed, not canceled: BCCI
According to the report, the BCCI said – the league is being postponed, not canceled. A franchise official said, "The BCCI has informed us that the IPL is still being postponed but they hope to have a window for it at the end of the year."
If not May then when will the IPL-13 tournament
It is understood that BCCI President Sourav Ganguly and Secretary Jai Shah were awaiting instructions from the government. After the announcement of extending the lockdown till May 3, there is no question of getting IPL in April May. The IPL was to be held from 29 March to 24 May. After the lock-down, it was believed that it would start from the middle of May till the end of June but now it is also not likely. It is believed that the Indian Premier League can be organized from September to November after everything is normal and rain.
