Badshah Finally Talked About The Plagiarism Controversy On His Latest Song ‘Genda Phool’


Recently, a new controversy has emerged out involving Bollywood music composer and rapper, Badshah, after the release of his latest video song ‘Genda Phool’, which is currently trending at number 3 position on YouTube.

The song features the very beautiful and sexy Jacqueline Fernandez, who is raising the temperature with her sizzling moves and hot looks. The song has already garnered millions of views in just five days of its release.

‘Genda Phool’ has opened to mixed reviews by the audiences. While there are many who loved the song and its catchy lyrics, however, there were many who pointed out that the ‘Bengali’ lyrics of the songs are copied. Badshah has been getting brutally slammed for the same.

Ratan Kahar is a folk singer living in the Birbhum district of West Bengal. He is the man who wrote this song ‘Boro Loker Biti Lo’ in the year 1972.

On Wednesday, Badshah finally took to his social media to clear regarding the same. Badshah went live on his Instagram account and made a long statement for being accused of plagiarism. Opening up about the same, Badshah said that he tried to get in touch with Ratan Kahar but because of the lockdown it wasn’t possible for him.

During the live session, Badshah said that there was no mention of Ratan Kahar writing the lyrics of the song in the record books of artist association. He also claimed that he believes that the lyrics of the song are ‘folk song’ but he will still like to extend financial help towards Ratan Kahar and his family. He had said:

It will be a duty and honour to help an artiste like Ratan Kahar.”
